This practical notice explains how information is handled when you use the 
website and research survey.
Who we are
Mark Nesbit Digital Consultant is the data controller for the website and research survey.
Information we collect
The survey may collect survey answers, device and source information, and technical session information. You may also choose to provide your first name, email address, research-contact consent and marketing consent. You can complete the survey anonymously.
Why we use the information
We use information for product research, to understand beekeeper needs and workflows, and to improve the survey and product. We contact people about research only where they explicitly consent. Marketing communications are sent only where separate marketing consent has been given.
Survey session and technical data
The survey uses a temporary browser/session credential so progress can be saved and restored. This credential is stored in hashed form rather than in its original form. We use Cloudflare Turnstile to help protect the survey from bots.
Contact details and consent
Contact details are optional. Where possible, contact details are stored separately from survey answers. Research-contact consent and marketing consent are separate. Marketing consent is optional and is not required to complete the survey.
Legal basis
Where appropriate, we rely on legitimate interests for product research and operating the website and survey. We rely on consent for optional research contact and marketing communications. The appropriate basis can depend on the particular processing activity.
Who we share data with
Service providers that help operate the website and survey may process data on our behalf. The providers used by this project are Cloudflare and Supabase.
International processing
Service providers may process data in different locations depending on their infrastructure and contractual arrangements.
Data retention
We keep survey and contact information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the research and product-development purposes described above, or as required by law.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you may have rights including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and withdrawal of consent where processing relies on consent. To exercise these rights, contact admin@obzzz.com.
Cookies and local storage
The site uses technical and session storage needed to operate the survey and save progress. Turnstile may use technical data for bot protection.
Changes to this notice
This notice may be updated as develops.
